The concept is the knee punch. Drive the knee UP fast and explosive without the body going upwards. The body should project forward. Note how the shoulder maintain the same horizontal level during the entire set.
What is he purpose of the Low Forward/Backward Walk? If I had to guess, I’d assume it’s used to teach an athlete how to control the strike when running and teaching them how to run with the lower extremity and not allow for excessive movement at the upper extremity. Any info would be great, thx!
backward walk – a level of the progression of support system preparation
forward walk – GREAT strength endurance exercise! we use this a lot for grapplers, wrestlers, lineman, fighters, etc. it will work on endurance of hip extensors, while significantly challenging the the trunk and knee extensors to stabilize to maintain the low position. all of these sports requires powerful extension out of deep bending positions. The aspect of “maintaining the bend” through stabilizing the trunk and quads is essential. This develops those systems
